Expressions from the Landscape

I am a landscape artist based on the north coast of the Gower peninsular in Wales, UK. Much of my inspiration is rooted in the dramatic and stunning landscapes of the Welsh coast and countryside. My work is an attempt to express the power and beauty of these landscapes and the emotion and sense of wonder they can awaken within us.

I use mixed media and collage on my paintings, working in layers to create depth, texture, energy and interest. I often combine traditional and experimental techniques, and I like to work along the spectrum between abstract and representational - allowing myself the freedom to express my experience of the natural world in various ways.

When a painting resonates, it’s because it touches something already within us - a memory, a feeling, a place or our own sense of wonder and connection to the earth.
